Born in Texas, Christopher has lived in over 50 places. At the age of 15, his mother shipped him to Pennsyltucky. He lived in the foothills of the PA and MD Appalachian mountains until he moved to WV. Then he loaded up the truck and moved to DC.
He's had a stupid amount of jobs. That said, he was a UPS Driver for 12 years before he decided to part ways and attend University of Maryland at the age of 34. He currently works for the Petworth Library in Washington, DC where he runs four writers workshops, teaches computer literacy, genealogy, job-seeking, Baby Lap Time, and directs people to the restoom. He's also the Secretary-Treasurer for AFSCME Local 1808. He's part cowboy, part toddler, part old man, and according to his sister, "a complete dork."
He's been an activist for 20 years and is affectionately known as "anarchy dad" to some of the Mid-Atlantic radical milieu.
He's also known to be a part-time lyricist for the progressive rock band Aerchive.
He was published a handful of times in the late 1990s. Short of giving permission for two poems to be included in surrealist anthologies, he didn't publish for another 20 years until in 2018 "How to Repair the Timing Belt on a 1984 Ford Bronco" was picked up instead of being rejected a bazillionth time.
Early drafts of his work are available to writers and educators upon request.

Stories No One Wants to Hear (fiction)
New fiction at King Ludd's Rag No. 4!!!! You can listen to a preview at video below or on Instagram.
Originally written in 2013, and a finalist for the Jimenez-Porter prize (judged by Elliott Holt), this story has been through a ton of revisions. This is an ensemble piece that borders to realistic to surrealistic and is an homage to the DMV.

The Oracle and the Cherry Woman (fiction)
January 28, 1986 affected everyone. No one was prepared. Not NASA, not every student who watched the tragedy. Not the teachers. Not the parents of the children. Especially Charles, a single father, who was just hoping cash in on prophecy and pizza.“The Oracle and the Cherry Woman” has been described as a dark and zany comedy on the back drop of tragedy. It was published in the January 2020 issue of The Blotter out of North Carolina. You can view the magazine’s pdf in the viewer below by clicking on the magazine’s cover or download the whole thing here: http://www.blotterrag.com/pdfs/2020-01.pdf

How To Repair the Timing Belt on a 1984 Ford Bronco (fiction)
What happens when two white people, one progressive and one conservative try to repair a timing belt on 1984 Ford Bronco? Well, for starters, Ford Broncos don’t have timing belts. And the story only gets weirder from there...
The Blotter Magazine out of Chapel Hill, North Carolina has published a story of mine in the following link: http://www.blotterrag.com/pdfs/2018-12.pdf
